GRM Digital have teamed up with RoSPA, The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, to deliver an e-commerce platform aimed at raising funds for the UK-based charity.

Established in 1916, RoSPA is a pioneering charity with a mission to promote safety and the prevention of accidents at work, at leisure, on the road, in the home and through safety education.

With financial membership contributions key to their continued work, RoSPA were keen to uncover a new revenue stream through an improved e-commerce platform that would allow membership signups in addition to product and training course sales. Following a review of their existing Kentico 7.0 CMS platform and its capabilities, RoSPA made the decision to upgrade to Kentico 12 which would provide an e-commerce solution that could be integrated with their purpose-built Integra NG CRM system.

The new e-commerce platform has already contributed to an uplift in online membership and product orders for RoSPA. Aside from e-commerce functionality, a key goal of the project was to implement technical SEO best practice in order to increase RoSPA’s organic rankings over time. The build will also include multilingual functionality, a new dedicated press release area and a refreshed design which represents the charity’s stature.

Matthew Beecham, Account Manager at GRM Digital commented: “It’s been great to work with a well-established charity such as RoSPA. It’s always helpful when a client is open to exploring a number of options for their web development. Upgrading to Kentico 12 will prove to be a great step forward for RoSPA and will give them a solid base to grow their online presence. GRM are looking forward to seeing how the new e-commerce platform contributes to the continued work of the charity.”

David Ewing, Head of IT at RoSPA, has his say on the project: “GRM Digital were selected as our preferred supplier during the tender process because of their ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to work with RoSPA’s short development timescales. The large web migration project has now been successfully completed and has given us the ability to boost our charitable income via e-commerce, as well as better serve our international supporters through a multi-lingual web interface. We look forward to working with Matthew and the GRM team on future development projects. Onwards and upwards.”
