Sakura Finetek Group, the international manufacturer and supplier of medical diagnostic products, has chosen Green River Media to improve company’s organic search visibility through SEO strategy and optimisation.

Founded over 150 years ago, Sakura is a world leader in their field, with more than 60 sales entities and distributors to over 100 countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. Their website, built on Kentico CMS, is a primary driver of enquiries for the business, however it was evident that it wasn’t fully optimised to capitalise on organic traffic.

Sakura SEO Project
Sakura selected Green River Media to deliver a full technical SEO audit with a view to improving crawlability, indexability and site speed. The report outlined numerous areas in need of improvement, including minification of JS and CSS, elimination of some render blocking resources and general content improvements to primary ranking pages.

Key Account Manager, Ida Vejzagic explains “It’s not uncommon to see projects like this, where a site has been built but fundamental SEO practices haven’t been put in place. Everyone is aware of how much site speed affects search rankings, so it was a priority that the SEO team worked to improve this right away. Following the solutions put in place, Google PageSpeed Insights is already reporting an uplift in performance with ratings rising from 71 to 96. Speed Index is now 5 times faster, showing a healthy 3.4 seconds, so we’re looking forward to seeing how this impacts rankings over the next few months.”
